The Iowa Business Energy Coalition (“IBEC”) is committed to providing a website that is accessible to people with disabilities and usable by the broadest possible audience.

Accessibility Standard and Status

IBEC uses the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (“WCAG”) 2.2, Level AA as its accessibility objective.

Accessibility is an ongoing process. IBEC periodically reviews and improves IBECIowa.org, but some content, documents, or third-party features may not yet fully meet every aspect of that objective.

 

Measures to Support Accessibility

As part of its continuing accessibility efforts, IBEC reviews the website, where applicable, for:

  • Logical page structure and heading order;

  • Descriptive alternative text for meaningful images;

  • Sufficient contrast between text and backgrounds;

  • Keyboard access and visible keyboard focus;

  • Clear labels and instructions for website forms;

  • Descriptive link text;

  • Appropriate treatment of documents, audio, and video content; and

  • Compatibility with commonly used browsers and assistive technologies.

 

IBEC uses accessibility tools available through its website platform and supplements automated reviews with manual review where appropriate.
